Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Big dreams. Wild moves. A whole lot of strawberries.Twelve-year-old Alex Neelio has never met a challenge he couldn't turn into an adventure-or at least try. When the annual Marysville Strawberry Festival announces its first-ever Strawberry Festival Showdown, Alex sees the opportunity of a lifetime. Teams of three must combine basketball skills with choreographed dance, and the grand prize could keep the Marysville Community Center open for another year. There's just one problem.Alex and his best friends, Chloe and Teo, have plenty of enthusiasm-but almost no basketball skills. With the reluctant Coach Hoops trying to turn them into a real team, the newly formed Berry Brawlers face chaotic practices, slippery obstacles, outrageous strawberry-themed mishaps, and a suspicious festival organizer who seems determined to keep them from succeeding. But Alex soon discovers that being bold isn't always about taking the biggest leap. Sometimes it means trusting your friends, sticking to the plan, and realizing you don't have to do everything yourself.Funny, fast-paced, and packed with friendship, teamwork, competition, and berry-filled chaos, Strawberry Slam: Alex's Berry Bold Move is an adventure about learning when to take a chance-and when to trust the people beside you.
