Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Is your legacy .NET Framework monolith holding your business back with skyrocketing cloud costs, performance bottlenecks, and mounting technical debt?Upgrading a mission-critical, enterprise system off legacy .NET Framework to modern ASP.NET Core can feel like renovating a house while you're still living inside it. You cannot afford a high-risk, "Big Bang" rewrite that freezes feature development for months. THE ASP.NET CORE MIGRATION HANDBOOK provides the definitive architectural blueprint for modernizing large-scale .NET applications safely, predictably, and incrementally-without disrupting live production traffic.Through practical C# code refactoring, side-by-side architectural comparisons, and a risk-mitigated approach, you will acquire the capabilities needed to: - Execute Phased Strangler Fig Migrations: Deploy Yet Another Reverse Proxy (YARP) alongside System.Web Adapters to route traffic seamlessly between legacy IIS and ASP.NET Core.- Dismantle Monolithic Infrastructure: Deconstruct massive Web.config files into strongly-typed appsettings.json options, and replace Global.asax hooks with modern Program.cs pipelines.- Modernize Request Pipelines & Controllers: Convert custom IHttpModule and IHttpHandler instances into ASP.NET Core middleware and Minimal APIs, while unifying split MVC and Web API controllers.- Migrate Core Data & Security Systems: Port database-first EDMX models to EF Core, replace TransactionScope with distributed Sagas, and transition Forms Authentication to ASP.NET Core Identity and OAuth2/OIDC protocols.- Optimize Cloud-Native Deployments: Package microservices into multi-stage Dockerfiles, tune Kestrel socket limits for Linux execution, and establish automated CI/CD upgrade checks.Stop letting legacy technical debt slow down your engineering team. Secure your copy of THE ASP.NET CORE MIGRATION HANDBOOK today and start modernizing your enterprise applications with confidence!
