Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A sleeper train that counts the tunnels for you. A beehive that hums all winter to keep one queen warm. A big wheel that stops, on purpose, at the very top.Every child in these fifteen stories is eight - old enough to fly a kite alone on the hill, stay still for an hour at a badger sett, and be the last one talking at a sleepover, and still young enough to need someone else to hold the night. Each story starts at ordinary speed and ends with someone asleep, and each one is followed by a short Close your eyes and... line to whisper once the reading is done.Made for reading aloud, or for reading alone with the lamp on low.
