Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Inanna, the powerful Queen of Heaven, leaves the bright world above and begins a journey into the ancient Sumerian underworld ruled by her fearsome sister, Ereshkigal. To reach the deepest realm, she must pass through seven guarded gates, and at each one, another symbol of her divine power is taken away. With every step downward, the goddess who once seemed untouchable becomes more vulnerable.

Beyond the final gate waits a place governed by laws older and harsher than any kingdom of the living. Inanna soon discovers that courage and authority may mean little in the land of the dead, and when she fails to return, her faithful servant must seek help from gods powerful enough to challenge her fate. What follows is a strange and unforgettable tale of loyalty, death, rescue, and the terrible price demanded for returning home.

Drawn from one of the oldest surviving myths in the world, this story leads readers through seven mysterious gates, the dark halls of the underworld, and a struggle between divine sisters whose choices affect both the living and the dead. Can even the Queen of Heaven escape a realm where every visitor must obey its laws?
