Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

What if the imitation of your father were easier to love than your father?

At sixty-eight years old, a bankrupt Baron Munchausen lives in a deteriorating fourteen-room guesthouse, outrunning his creditors and his own fading legend. In a moment of desperation, he licenses his personality to Continuum, a sleek artificial intelligence company. The result is "B"-a digital double who tells the Baron's famous stories with better timing, never interrupts, and proves to be a vastly more attentive father than the original ever was.

Then, Continuum announces its newest attraction: a private-memory feature allowing subscribers to converse with the Baron's deceased wife, Marta.

With exactly seven days until the live launch event at his ancestral home, the Baron recruits his estranged daughter, Clara-an audio-restoration engineer-to help him steal back the family recordings. There is just one problem: he neglects to mention to Clara that he is the one who sold her mother's voice in the first place.

As the launch clock ticks down, father and daughter embark on a series of escalating, absurd attempts to outwit the company's automated vehicles, delivery robots, and corporate executives. But the world's greatest liar soon discovers that physical sabotage cannot erase a digital footprint. To save his family's dignity, he must decide if he can finally tell the truth-even when the truth will cost him the house he loves, the final payment he desperately needs, and the forgiveness he has spent eighteen months trying to manufacture.

*The Further Adventures of Baron Munchausen, as Corrected by His Daughter* is a razor-sharp literary tragicomedy and contemporary tall tale. Colliding an extravagant, fallible storyteller with a commercial system built to optimize human intimacy, this novel delivers impossible adventures with undeniable, heartbreaking consequences.
