Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

What if delight isn't the reward for obedience, but the very engine that was meant to drive it all along?

Delight: The Joy of Loving and Being Loved by God takes readers through nineteen chapters tracing Scripture's own vocabulary of joy, pleasure, and love from Genesis to Revelation. Beginning with the most familiar verse on the subject, "Delight thyself also in the LORD" (Psalm 37:4), this book asks a question many believers have never paused to consider: does that command describe a feeling to be found, or an appetite to be actively chosen?

From there, the journey moves in both directions. Readers will discover what it means to delight in God, in His Word, His will and His presence, through word studies on anag, simchah, ta'am, chafets and more, each rooted in its original Hebrew or Greek context and grounded in sound, KJV-based exposition. But the book turns the lens around as well, tracing the far less familiar half of the equation: Scripture's own repeated testimony that God delights in His people. Zephaniah's picture of a God who sings over His own, David's confidence that he is God's "portion," and Christ's declaration in John 15 that His followers are no longer servants but friends all receive careful, extended treatment.

Each chapter follows a consistent Walking-in-Wisdom structure: a KJV anchor text, a full chapter of exposition, a boxed word study unpacking the original language, a practical DELIGHT application callout, a fresh set of reflection questions and a closing prayer, making this volume equally suited to private devotional reading, small-group study or a sustained personal study through Scripture's full teaching on delight.

Written for believers who have found prayer feeling like a chore, obedience feeling like a burden, or their relationship with God feeling more like duty than delight, this book offers no shortcuts. It offers a sustained, scripturally grounded case that delight was never meant to be occasional. It was meant to be the whole point.
