Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Humans think they run Grimborough. The cats know better.Meet Felix Ninewhiskers: alley cat, self-appointed chairman, criminal mastermind and proud owner of more confidence than common sense.Together with the Alley Council-a nervous grey cat who distrusts buckets, an enormous ginger obsessed with sausages, an elegant former aristocrat, a one-eyed storyteller whose impossible tales keep turning out to be true, a curious kitten with a talent for magical trouble, an old sailor still waiting for his captain, and a shadowy mischief-maker nobody ever sees coming-Felix has one simple ambition: To improve their lives without doing anything resembling actual work.Unfortunately, Felix has ideas.Bad ideas.Soon the cats are stealing royal fish, arguing with the Rat King, applying for work as wizard familiars, investigating a missing moon, robbing a royal banquet, moving into a haunted house, negotiating with a dragon, organising Grimborough's professional beggars and accidentally becoming involved in matters of prophecy, diplomacy and long-lost treasure.Through it all, Felix remains absolutely certain that everything is going according to plan.Even when there was never really a plan.Packed with scheming cats, exasperated humans, bureaucratic rats, unreliable wizards, questionable legends and one city that somehow survives all of them, Nine Lives and Other Bad Ideas is a collection of twelve warm, witty comic-fantasy adventures about friendship, ambition, home and the extraordinary amount of trouble that can begin with one cat saying: "I have an idea."
