Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A backwards kick. A wobbly spin. A whole new way to join in.

Milo is ready for his first soccer practice. His shoes are tied. His shirt is backwards. And his heart is going BOOM.There's just one problem: the ball won't go where he wants it to.He kicks it backwards. He kicks it sideways. He kicks it between his own legs! When the other children giggle, Milo heads for the bench. Maybe soccer isn't for him after all.But one more try leads to an unexpected surprise-and a coach who doesn't say, "That's not how you do it."Instead, she says something Milo never expected: "Show me how you do it."With simple, playful rhymes and warm, whimsical illustrations, Milo Kicks It Wrong turns a first day on the soccer field into a funny, tender story about trying again, sharing your ideas, and discovering that your way has a place, too. This isn't a story about becoming the best player. It's about the moment a child stops wondering, "Am I doing it right?" and starts thinking, "I want to play." And it's about what can happen when a grown-up gets curious, joins in, and isn't afraid to take a tumble.Written for children ages 2-7, this read-aloud welcomes eager beginners, cautious little watchers, and kids who feel things deeply. It gives families and classrooms a gentle way to talk about mistakes, embarrassment, kindness, and the courage to have another go.For every child who has ever worried about getting it wrong-and every grown-up who wants them to keep trying.Milo Kicks It Wrong is part of Let's Do It Wrong!, a picture book series celebrating curiosity, experimentation, and the joy of finding your own way.

You don't have to be the best to belong. You just need room to be you.
