"Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net." - Luke 5:5Every person has known a night like Simon's. You worked hard. You did everything the experts said. You cast the net where the fish should have been, and at dawn it came up empty. The Coin in the Fish's Mouth is for the one who is willing to stand in the boat at sunrise, wet and tired and empty-handed, and listen to a Voice that knows where the fish are.Built on three scenes from the water and one ancient song, this book traces a pattern that runs through all of Scripture: - The Empty Night (Luke 5) - why a professional fisherman obeyed a carpenter, and what the word nevertheless can do in your life- The Coin in the Fish's Mouth (Matthew 17) - how God meets the obligations of those who follow Him, and why the coin was never the treasure- Except the LORD Build the House (Psalm 127) - the difference between building Babel and building by His pattern, and the rest God gives His beloved- The Right Side of the Ship (John 21) - failure, restoration, a fire of coals on the shore, and a Savior who asks, "Lovest thou me?"This is not a prosperity gospel book. God can give abundance, but He does not promise every obedient heart a full bank account. What He promises is Himself, His sufficiency for everything He calls you to do, and a far greater catch than fish or money: people. "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."Inside you'll also find: - A practical, Scripture-anchored guide to testing whether a "word" is truly from God before you act on it- Hope for anyone who has failed God and gone back to the "old boat"- An honest invitation for readers who do not yet believe- Hundreds of King James Scripture references woven through every chapterWhether you run a business, work a job, lead a ministry, or simply feel like your nets keep coming up empty, this book will call you to surrender your boat to Christ, hear Him accurately, obey Him fully, and trust Him with the results.Launch out into the deep. He is in the boat.
