How many years do you have left? Do you even know?Psalm 90 says: "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."This is not a comforting verse. It is a verdict. And the true center of this psalm is not the famous line about numbering our days. It is the verse just before it - the one almost no one dares to read aloud: "Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath."This question was never meant for scholars. It was meant for you.You already know you will die. But have you ever asked: after death, before whom will you stand? Does your soul deserve God's wrath - or His mercy?Psalm 90 places that question at the very center of the poem - and then gives no answer. The psalmist leaves you standing there, unresolved. But the canon does not leave you thereRevelation 7 tells us: those who stand before the throne, delivered out of the great tribulation, are there because they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. This is where Psalm 90 has been leading all along - not a motivational slogan, but a real awakening: recognizing that you deserve wrath, and meeting the Lamb who bought you with His own blood.Who this book is forIf you are searching for an answer to your own life; if you fear death but cannot say why; if you have heard this psalm read at a funeral but were never truly moved by it - this book was written for you.It will walk you, verse by verse, through the structure and teaching of Psalm 90 - but for one purpose only: not to give you more Bible knowledge, but to bring you to what its title names - to be Awakened by Grace.Your days are numbered. Psalm 90 will not let you look away from that. But neither does it leave you in fear - because grace is extending its invitation to you, right now.
