Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

What if the prayer you have prayed all your life still has something new to say to you?"Our Father in heaven..."Familiar words. A prayer known by heart. And yet, within its few simple petitions lies a profound invitation to discover again what it means to trust God, seek his kingdom, receive his forgiveness, and live by faith. In Our Father: Reflections on the Lord's Prayer, Leon Bertoletti invites you to slow down and look afresh at the prayer Jesus taught his disciples. Moving phrase by phrase and petition by petition, the book opens up familiar words and encourages a deeper, more personal encounter with their meaning. This collection of sermons, grounded in biblical reflection and with particular attention to the Gospels, explores the petitions of the Lord's Prayer - from "Hallowed be your name" and "Your kingdom come" to daily bread, forgiveness, temptation, and deliverance from evil.Rather than treating the Lord's Prayer simply as words to be recited, Our Father invites the reader to discover it as a school of prayer and a guide for Christian life - teaching faith, trust, forgiveness, dependence, and hope.Whether you have prayed the Lord's Prayer since childhood or are discovering its richness anew, this book offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and enter more deeply into the prayer Jesus gave to his followers.Rediscover the Lord's Prayer - not simply as a prayer you know, but as a prayer you can continue to grow into. One phrase at a time. One petition at a time.
