Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Behind the walls of an ordinary Philadelphia home, investigators uncovered a story far darker than anyone expected.

At 417 West Chew Avenue, an investigation involving Raymond Horsch and his son, Eugene Horsch, opened the door to decades of unsettling history, hidden identities, criminal cases, disturbing writings, and an extraordinary volume of digital evidence.

But the story did not begin with the search of the house.

Raymond Horsch's past stretched back through federal prosecutions, years spent as a fugitive, aliases, international travel, controversial writings, and a carefully cultivated public persona. What investigators later discovered in Philadelphia cast that history in an entirely different light.

Drawing from court records, investigative materials, public reporting, hearings, interviews, and Horsch's own published words, 417 West Chew Avenue reconstructs the events that led authorities to the property and examines the evidence they say was uncovered there.

More than fifty electronic devices. Hundreds of thousands of images. Tens of thousands of videos. More than ten thousand pages of writings. And an investigation so extensive that authorities stated during a March 2026 hearing that only a small fraction of the digital evidence had been reviewed.

Some questions have been answered.

Others remain deeply unresolved.

417 West Chew Avenue: Inside Philadelphia's House of Horrors and the Disturbing Horsch Family Investigation is a detailed true-crime examination of the people, history, evidence, and unanswered questions surrounding one of Philadelphia's most disturbing modern investigations.

For readers of investigative true crime, criminal history, cold cases, and stories in which the full truth may still be waiting to be uncovered.
