LOGLINEWhen a revered, politically connected teacher weaponizes academic blackmail to abuse a vulnerable senior at an elite Lagos school, unyielding Principal Audrey Garrity must bypass bureaucratic red tape, assemble a covert tactical team, and orchestrate a high-stakes midnight trap to bring down the predator.SYNOPSISThe Late Bell establishes Principal Audrey Garrity not as a passive desk bureaucrat, but as the brilliant, protective matriarch of Anydos Secondary School in Lagos. The pilot episode begins when Maya Lin, a high-achieving student buckling under immense parental pressure, falls victim to the grooming tactics of the school's Teacher of the Year, Mr. Arthur Vance. Using poor exam grades as emotional leverage, Vance traps Maya in isolated, late-night academic counseling sessions, eventually escalating to locked-door sexual harassment. When Maya's best friend, Chloe, flags her sudden psychological breakdown to the administration, Principal Garrity looks past Vance's flawless reputation and powerful connections to the Lagos ministry of education. Trusting her sharp instincts, Garrity launches a deniable, highly precise internal investigation. She recruits Chloe for digital infrastructure support and partners with Officer Rivera to bypass standard school board stalling tactics. As Vance prepares to trap Maya a second time, Garrity turns her school into a tactical grid. Operating from her server room command center, she authorizes a covert wire operation, intercepting live encrypted messages and bypassing Vance's carefully curated blind spots. In a tense, multi-layered midnight confrontation, Garrity breaks down the locked classroom door herself, catching Vance red-handed with unassailable technical and physical evidence. Refusing to allow a wealthy Lagos elite to slide out through a cover-up, Garrity.
