Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

YOU HAVE BEEN LYING HERE LONG ENOUGH.

Carolyn Carlisle knows what it means to arise from something that tried to break you. She has spent years telling her story of surviving abuse, healing, and finding purpose.

But in June 2026, Carolyn faced a different kind of arising. Her 90-year-old mother died, and grief left her in a place she had not been in 28 years.

In Now Arise, Carolyn walks with us through the story of a man at the pool of Bethesda - a man who had been waiting for thirty-eight years when Jesus asked him a life-changing question, "Do you want to get well?", and gave him an unexpected command: "Stand up, take your mat and walk."

This is not a book about rushing through grief or pretending that loss does not hurt. This book is an honest invitation to discover what happens when Jesus meets you in the place where you have been lying and calls you to rise. Because sometimes God call us to arise from things that happened to us. And sometimes God calls us to arise from things we never imagined we would have to live without.

Grief may change your world.

But grief does not have to cancel your purpose.

Your story isn't over.

Now Arise.
