Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"What happens when the light starts going out and no one explains it to you?"

GlowQuest: The Origin is the first book in a seven-volume fantasy saga. It is not the luminous fairy tale told to children. It is what really happens when the light begins to fail, and no one has the courage to say it aloud.

Liri is ten years old and feels the world dim before anyone else. Kai laughs to keep fear at a distance. Mina builds with her hands what she cannot say out loud. Three children in their grandfather Oren's laboratory, among crystals that used to sing, the smell of honey and copper, and the certainty that they are safe.

They are not.

One morning the crystals stop singing, one at a time. The village closes its shutters. Bread comes out of the oven but no longer smells like anything. Oren, who knows more than he says, gives the three of them a map worn at the edges and three bracelets that grow warm on the wrist when something is wrong. "Not yet," he murmurs. As if two words could hold back something larger than the village.

On the margin of the map there is a name almost erased: Lior. Kai sees it from the first day. He does not know what it means. Oren does. He will not speak.

In the prologue, far away, at the edge of Lumora, a father clutches a dying Totem in the dark and speaks to a son he believes dead. Liri feels it as a distant pain, a call without a voice, before she understands what she is listening to.

GlowQuest is a saga about light that trembles and does not go out: about secrets kept too long, about friendship that becomes choice, about a world that takes a step back without explaining why. It does not promise easy victories. It promises that staying, listening, not leaving the flame alone, matters.

If you know the illustrated fairy tale for younger readers, this book shows you the half that was kept from you. If you do not, you still enter the heart of a story that will span seven books.
