Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Some friendships last a season. Others last a lifetime. In the summer of 1974, six fourteen-year-old boys believed their small Wisconsin town was the center of the world. They spent their days riding bicycles through Nekoosa, swimming in the Wisconsin River, hanging out at an old fort behind a liquor store, and chasing adventures they never imagined would become stories they'd tell for the rest of their lives. From harmless mischief and one unforgettable summer to first crushes, lasting friendships, and the bittersweet realization that growing up sometimes means leaving pieces of yourself behind, Nekoosa Boys is a heartfelt coming-of-age memoir about friendship, belonging, and a time when freedom meant a bicycle, a river, and a group of friends who always had your back.Filled with humor, nostalgia, and genuine small-town charm, this is a story for anyone who remembers what it felt like to be fourteen-and believed summer would last forever.Because while people grow up... the best friendships never really grow old.
