Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A teenage sha-woman confronts ancient evil and confers with magical benevolence in this exciting followup!Behind her house in Western Massachusetts, the hills and dells of the Appalachians have been Viola Ferriman's special place. In recent times, the deep woods gave the fourteen-year-old a full measure of peace and purpose. Once a loner but now popular at school, this is where the burgeoning soccer star discovered her ultimate destiny. It houses an otherworldly portal to another dimension where she connected to a universal power source that bridges time and space. Now, the forest isn't her friend anymore... This ancient mountain range is older than the trees, the dinosaurs and the rings of Saturn. In turn, it has nurtured forces of light and darkness that even confound the preeminent teachers who have taken on her tutelage. This cradle of energies beyond human comprehension is the birthplace of an all new threat, one whose hunger for domination and power knows no bounds. And one who already has a deep connection to her past. In this journey of discovery, travel along as Viola enlists the aid of the top psychic from her world, Persephone Perry, as well as her Indigenous spirit guides from a parallel one, Pa'ko the golden eagle and Moki the deer stag. She not only has to battle an ageless enemy, but deal with issues at home too. The relationship with her fraternal twin (and shaman) Sebastian is as tenuous as ever, while her father and aunt find comfort at work. Her new dog Miley is the only source of familial comfort and companionship. The noose tightens as Viola's mission to keep a low profile, while learning how to be the best sha-woman she can be, is fraught with mistakes. In soccer, rivals become friends while the presence of an enigmatic exchange student flusters her. While at school, a new adversary makes her life into a living hell. Delving into her magical lineage, and discovering more about where her descendants are from, will be key to saving the home she loves and the future she dreams about. Alongside the fantasy and science-fiction themes of the A PENDALE TALE series, "Heart Of The Goddess" also fosters elements of horror and romance.
