Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Why does the Qur'an call the failure to think one of the worst conditions a human being can fall into - worse, in its own words, than nearly anything else?

Worst of Creaturesargues that the Qur'an places three demands on anyone willing to engage with it seriously: to reason honestly rather than borrow belief wholesale, to face illness, death, and injustice without flinching or false comfort, and to surrender - but only after reason and honesty have done their work.

Drawing directly on the Qur'an's own verses, this book walks through the anatomy of heedlessness (7:179), the severity of refusing to think (8:22), the true meaning of du'a as a request rather than a guarantee (3:145), and why the Hereafter is described not as an escape from loss but as something genuinely better (93:4-5).

This is not a book of comfortable reassurances. It does not soften death, minimize injustice, or promise that sincere prayer guarantees a particular outcome. It argues, instead, that facing reality honestly - and surrendering only once that honesty has been done - is what the Qur'an actually asks of its reader, and that this harder path is the one built to survive contact with real illness, real grief, and real injustice.

For readers who want their faith addressed to their intellect rather than around it, Worst of Creatures offers a Qur'an-grounded framework for thinking clearly, seeing reality plainly, and surrendering with understanding rather than avoidance.
