Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

She crossed the world to see him one more time. Something crossed it with her. Twenty-two days after her infant son stopped breathing in his crib, Linda Flora walks out on her husband, their empty nursery, and every reasonable voice telling her to stay. She's going to Siberia, to a shaman whose name she found on a website that no longer exists. At a border post in the mountains of Tuva, Major Vadim Svetlov should send her home. He is a man who has never let himself look back at his own loss. Instead, he drives her into the taiga himself, because the old man on the other end of the phone says she didn't come alone. Altan Sayan can't bring her son back. But he can send back whatever has been following her. There are only three rules. Don't answer anything that calls to you. Never say his name. And when the water turns red, turn away. A mother who can't stop reaching. A man who never looked. And a voice that knows exactly what to say. The Crimson Waterfall is a short story of quiet, grief-haunted horror, about 7,000 words long and meant to be read in one sitting. Whatever calls you, don't answer. Content note: this story deals with infant loss.
