Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Lily went to the Caribbean to help animals. She didn't expect to fall for another veterinarian. And she definitely didn't expect to come home with a kennel full of cocaine. When Lily volunteers to spend two weeks helping provide veterinary care in a country where animals desperately need it, she's expecting long days, exhausted patients, and maybe a little sunshine. What she doesn't expect is Kip Tucker-a handsome veterinarian who makes the long hours a whole lot more interesting.By the end of the trip, Lily and Kip have grown closer than either of them expected. But their romantic getaway takes a very unexpected turn when they return to Cincinnati with Bruno, a rescued dog heading to his forever home. There's just one problem.Hidden inside Bruno's airline kennel is a shipment of cocaine.Lily has no idea.Neither does Kip.But someone knows exactly where those drugs are supposed to be-and they're getting desperate.A nervous courier is searching for the missing shipment. A crooked veterinarian is under pressure from a ruthless crime boss. Detective Parker is following a trail that leads from a mysterious kennel to the veterinary clinic at Scraps Restaurant. And somewhere in the middle of it all are Lily and Kip, who are still trying to figure out whether they're actually dating. As the danger closes in, Scraps becomes the unlikely center of a drug-smuggling investigation involving suspicious kennels, customs dogs, a very confused rescue dog, and more cocaine than anyone at a dog-friendly restaurant ever wanted to see.Meanwhile, Lily and Kip have a much more important question to answer: Are they just two veterinarians who had a memorable trip together...or have they found something worth bringing home?Love, Dogs, and Drug Smugglers is a funny, feel-good romantic mystery filled with lovable dogs, quirky characters, unexpected danger, and plenty of laughs. It's the fourth book in the Scraps Restaurant series, but each book can be enjoyed on its own.Just remember: when someone tells you to check the kennel, check the kennel.
