Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Songs of a Rainy State is a love letter to Oregon-- a collection of poetry woven through the landscapes, memories, and quiet beauty of the state I all home.

These poems wander from the misty coast to the forests of the Cascades, from the quiet mountain lakes to the desert hills, from small towns and winding highways to the places where rain settles softly against the window. Each poem is an invitation to stop somewhere for a moment and see Oregon not simply as a place on a map, but as a living story.

Rather than following a traditional journey, this collection moves whimsically across the state, allowing each poem to become a small guide to a different corner of Oregon. Some places are well known; others are hidden, overlooked, or remembered only by those who have traveled their roads. Together, they form a portrait of a state shaped by rain, mountains, rivers, forests, ocean winds, and the people who have learned to love them.

This book is for anyone who has ever fallen in love with Oregon-- for those who were born beneath its grey skies, those who found their way here, and those who carry a piece of it with them wherever they go.

Come wander the roads, listen to the rain, and discover Oregon through my eyes.

These are the songs of a rainy state.
