What happens when everything around you begins to fall apart and the only thing left to hold on to is faith? "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?"-Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV)Hurricane Harvey was a Category 4 storm that devastated parts of Texas and Louisiana in August 2017, bringing unprecedented rainfall and catastrophic flooding. Over a four-day period, many areas received more than 40 inches of rain as the storm slowly moved across eastern Texas and adjacent waters. The resulting floods inundated hundreds of thousands of homes, displaced tens of thousands of people, and led to thousands of rescues. In God Is Real, Maria Flores shares her true and deeply personal experience during Hurricane Harvey, when rising floodwaters entered her home and changed her life in a matter of hours. But amid the fear, devastation, and uncertainty, something unexpected began to happen.Through family, friends, strangers, and extraordinary acts of generosity, what began as a disaster became a powerful journey of faith, hope, and restoration. She says, "God bless all my angels. That is what I call every person who gave us a hand and brought us hope during Hurricane Harvey. God is real. His saints are real, and they are everywhere. God reveals Himself to us every day, in every place, through life's circumstances, through people, and through miracles. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, we allow God to work through us."God Is Real is more than a story of surviving Hurricane Harvey. It is a testimony to the power of faith and a reminder that even in our darkest moments, God may be working through the people and circumstances around us in ways we never expected.
