Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The state of the world can no longer stay outside the therapy room. This book is a collection of articles by somatic therapists demonstrating the integration of social justice and community consciousness into clinical work. These articles are deeply personal as well as professional, offering the reader, regardless of their relationship to therapy, the opportunity to see how somatic therapy can weave a client's complete experience into their healing process. The book rests on the premise that what happens outside the room enters the room, and that clients, as they grow and change, bring their healing to the outer world, creating ripple effects on the larger society.Accessible for all readers, "The World Walks With You Into Therapy: Social Justice, Somatics, and Healing," will add to the small but growing collection of works intended to integrate our complete selves -- body, mind, spirit, culture and citizens of a very troubled world - into the healing realm known as psychotherapy.
