Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The world's economic order shatters when developing nations simultaneously declare "Jubilee"-a biblical-inspired forgiveness of all international debt. As markets collapse and borders close, former activist David Krynauw finds himself leading a global investigation into the aftermath of this unprecedented revolution.Appointed to head JCOM, the G8's oversight committee, David assembles a team to monitor worldwide changes. But powerful forces, desperate to maintain control, will kill to keep their influence. When his economic analyst is assassinated in London and an attempt is made on his own life in Switzerland, David realizes this assignment is far more dangerous than expected.Alongside his longtime friend and newfound love interest Heather Gaes, and his resourceful assistant Lucinda, David uncovers a web of media manipulation, corporate corruption, and political conspiracy. From the dying rainforests of India to the transformed local economies of Argentina, from Nigeria's oil fields to America's failing power grid, his team races to document a world in transformation-and survive long enough to report it.As nations experiment with environmental taxation and local sustainability, the United States clings desperately to its diminishing power. With evidence mounting that years of media coverage have been deliberately manipulated, David must choose between exposing the truth and protecting his team. But in a world where economics and survival have become intertwined, the truth may be the deadliest weapon of all."Leviticus 25: Jubilee" is a gripping political thriller that explores what happens when the world's economic reset button is pushed. This timely novel weaves global politics, environmental justice, and personal courage into a compelling vision of a possible future-one where the choice between power and survival will determine humanity's fate.
