The people of this agricultural culture patterned their lives in accordance with the events of the heavens-the cycles of dark and light-and the planting and harvesting times that shaped and sustained their lives. In seeking connection with her Welsh heritage, and believing that these great cycles of the Eightfold Year still affect our daily lives, Ms. Williams has created stained-glass images for the eight festivals and arranged her poetry in accordance with the psychological and spiritual meaning of each.
