Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

When seasoned rig welder Alex Rivera is suddenly promoted to run a failing heavy-oil lease in California's Kern River Field, he's given a simple ultimatum: turn it around in 60 days-or it gets shut down.Armed with little more than brute force and old-school oilfield instincts, Alex does what he's always known: he pushes harder. Overtime skyrockets. Equipment breaks. Costs explode. And production keeps falling. What follows is a gritty journey through steam-system failures, contractor battles, corporate politics, safety crises, and the human cost of change. But as Alex begins to see the operation differently, he discovers that working harder isn't the answer. To save the lease, he'll have to understand how the entire system works-and find the one constraint holding everything back. The Rig Manager's Goal is a business novel about leadership, systems thinking, and the challenge of turning around an operation when everything seems to be working against you. Set inside the demanding world of California's heavy-oil fields, it shows how changing the way we think can change the way we work.
