Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

When a person loses their sanity along with all purpose and meaning, a song begins both within and outside of them. Echoes of its terrible music may be heard within the pages of this new, unsettling collection of horrors, Singing the Song of My Unmaking.A dead thing of feathers and fur on the side of the road wearing the face of a loved one you've buried. Glimpses into cults that worship suicide or pray to ghosts. Black rivers leading a lost soul into the woods to reclaim what was taken from them. The boundaries between fiction, lyric essay, and confessional poetry collapsing into a vortex of all-consuming depression. And, finally, a house shifting its walls and hallways to herd you toward a door you never wanted to open... but inevitably must.A unique, disturbing new voice of literary weird fiction, Christopher Ropes' debut collection, Singing the Song of My Unmaking, refuses to turn away from our most intimate fears and excruciating losses, exploring what dreams and nightmares may fill the void where a person once was.
