Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

On the afternoon Stephanie Stanley knelt outside Children's Hospital Nebraska and prayed for angels to surround her son, two nurses, both named Angel, appeared at back-to-back shift changes. That wasn't coincidence. That was God answering.Angels on the Purple Floor is the true story of 185 days spent on the purple-painted second floor of a children's cardiac ICU - a memoir-devotional in ten chapters that walks readers through miscarriage, a high-risk twin pregnancy, a son born with a life-threatening congenital heart defect, open-heart surgery, and, ultimately, the death of Grant Isaac Stanley at eleven months old. This is not a grief book that offers easy comfort. It earns its hope the hard way - in a doctor who returned from a once-in-twelve-years festival in India carrying holy water for Grant, a stranger who left a stone on his grave, a nurse who crocheted him a bumblebee she had no way of knowing was his favorite. Each chapter pairs a Scripture anchor with an original poem written from inside the experience, an unflinching personal narrative, and a reflection prompt inviting readers to hold their own story next to hers.Written for parents in a hospital waiting room, for anyone grieving a child, and for Christian readers hungry for testimony rather than theory, Angels on the Purple Floor insists that God does not leave the room, even the darkest one on the purple floor.
