Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Gary Pendleton has a Q3 budget review this morning. The fact that he died in his sleep is only going to complicate things.Operating on pure habit and corporate denial, Gary trudges to the office, ignoring his sudden pallor and the frantic screaming in the streets. But when his notoriously demanding-and newly bitten-boss insists on finishing a slide on Q4 synergy as the city burns outside their window, Gary's lifelong corporate conditioning finally snaps. Realizing his job is utterly meaningless, he abandons his career for a much simpler, far more important goal: go home, sit in his favorite chair, and make his favorite frozen lasagna. But the commute home is murder. Now a fully conscious but decidedly undead spirit tethered to a decaying body, Gary just wants some peace and quiet. Unfortunately, the apocalypse is incredibly loud. To reach the melancholic sanctuary of his apartment, he must navigate shattered department stores, gridlocked overpasses, and the worst traffic jam imaginable-massive hordes of mindless zombies blocking the sidewalk. All while actively scolding his own hands to stop trying to bite the remaining human survivors.Lasagna at the End of the World is a deadpan, dark-comedy twist on the zombie apocalypse. It's a story about the horrors of modern bureaucracy, the profound isolation of city life, and the lengths one mid-level manager will go to just get a little rest.
