Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Before Norway became a kingdom of churches and crowned rulers, it belonged to men who carried loyalty like a blade and vengeance like a prayer.Born into one of the most powerful noble families in Trøndelag during the final great age of the Vikings, Finn Árnason grows up beneath storm-dark skies where kings rise and fall with terrifying speed. Trained from childhood for war, leadership, and survival, Finn enters the violent world of Olaf Haraldsson, the ruthless king who would later become Saint Olaf. Drawn into royal ambition, blood feuds, exile, and civil war, Finn finds himself trapped between loyalty to kings and loyalty to family as Norway tears itself apart around him. From the frozen fjords of Norway to the glittering exile courts of Kievan Rus, from the slaughter at Stiklestad to the deadly ambitions of Harald Hardrada, Finn survives some of the most brutal and transformative events of the eleventh century. Yet every victory leaves another scar. Brothers become enemies. Kings become legends. Old gods fade beneath church bells. The Viking world is changing around him.

Rich with historically accurate detail, savage battles, political intrigue, emotional family conflict, and the harsh beauty of the Viking world, The Feudal Lord Finn Árnason is an epic saga about honor, ambition, grief, and the fading twilight of the Viking Age itself. This book also includes a real historical timeline of Finn Árnason's life in the back to help separate history from myth.

"Savage, sorrowful, and magnificently human. This is an epic worthy of the sagas." -- ⁃ Fredrich Studemon, Literary Critic
