Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

I keep buying ferry tickets before I know whether I can afford the weekend.Tessa is still at college. I have a graduate engineering job across the bay, a supervisor who expects answers, and a bag I never quite finish unpacking. We chose each other. I intend to keep showing up.So I promise another visit. I say work is fine. I leave out the report I cannot finish and the question I should have asked three days ago. It is easier to miss sleep than admit I might disappoint her.Tessa has a documentary photography placement she wants badly enough to risk the comfortable version of our future. I am proud of her. I also thought I knew what came after graduation.Apparently, we have been making different plans. With missed connections, mounting costs, and deadlines taking the weekends we promised each other, even a good visit can end with something important unsaid. We are both trying so hard to be worth the trouble that we are making it harder to be close.I want her here. She wants room to become the photographer she has worked to be. We need to tell each other what that will actually take before another promise makes the decision for us.New Promises continues Tessa and Callum's story in an emotional long-distance romance about ambition, vulnerability, and staying present when love becomes inconvenient.Read New Promises and take the next crossing with them.Book Two of Haxon Hearts. Read New Memories first; the trilogy concludes in New Beginnings.
