Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

First Kings begins with a fading David and a contested throne, but the true King is never in doubt. As Solomon rises, Israel enters an age of wisdom, splendour, temple glory, and international renown. Yet beneath the gold and grandeur lies a searching question: will God's people obey His word? This verse-by-verse study follows the drama of succession, the building of the temple, the fracture of the kingdom, the rise of false worship, and the fearless ministry of prophets such as Elijah and Micaiah. Kings, priests, queens, servants, and prophets all stand beneath the judgement of Yahweh, whose word exposes ambition, idolatry, compromise, and false confidence.First Kings is not merely the story of political decline. It is a theological history of human failure under the unshaken rule of God. Earthly thrones rise and fall, but the throne in heaven remains secure. Through every act of rebellion and every fulfilled prophetic word, the book points beyond Israel's unstable kings to the need for a faithful Son of David, the righteous King whose kingdom cannot fail.
