Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Gospel of Mary of Nazareth imagines the life of Jesus through the voice of the woman who raised him. Moving through the ordinary moments of motherhood, the narrative poem dwells in the human life behind sacred story.

In a series of intimate poetic fragments, Mary recalls quiet miracles: a baby asleep against her chest, a son washing her tired feet in the kitchen, a young man standing in the sunlight at the river. Through these memories, motherhood becomes the first place where the sacred is embodied.

As the story moves toward the final hours of his life and the time to follow, Mary of Nazareth reflects on the love that shaped Jesus and the wholeness he refused to abandon even in the face of empire.

Written in the wake of the author's own experience of maternal grief, this poem is a meditation on motherhood, embodiment, and the sacred act of bringing forth what is within us.
