Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Take Fountain is a lyric poetry collection set in Los Angeles, moving through late-night drives, speedwalking streets, and the strange architecture of a city that never fully resolves into meaning.Across bar bathrooms, celebrity centers, Château Marmont invitations, and the blurred aftermath of almost-relationships, Take Fountain traces a life lived in motion-where memory behaves like traffic and intimacy arrives in fragments. From Cahuenga at 11 p.m. to Franklin at night, from Griffith Park dusted in ash to the looping corridors of myth and pop culture, the city becomes both setting and psychological condition. These poems braid personal fracture with cultural noise: Diet Coke tears, Schubert drifting through strange rooms, junkies at 7-Elevens, pools, parties, and private dissolutions rendered in sharp, cinematic detail. Desire is unstable, repetition becomes ritual, and love is continually misread as something just out of reach.Darkly funny, sensual, and dislocated, Take Fountain is a portrait of Los Angeles as both glamour and rupture-a place where nothing stays still long enough to become certain, and everything keeps happening at once.
