Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Why do we gather to worship? What makes Christian worship a transformative encounter with the living God?

Reformed Liturgy: An Introduction to Covenantal Worship in Christ is an invitation to delve into the beauty and profundity of worship in the Reformed tradition.

Adapted from a series of sermons preached by Rev. Kenneth Wieske at the St. Albert Canadian Reformed Church in Alberta, Canada, this book offers an engaging reflection on six essential elements of worship: the power of congregational singing, generosity as gratitude, the covenantal confession of the votum, the revelatory role of the law, the joy of corporate worship, and reverence before divine holiness.

Each chapter guides the reader on a spiritual journey, grounded in Scripture, that connects liturgy to the daily life of the believer. Whether you are a pastor, a church member, or someone interested in learning about Reformed faith concerning worship, this book will challenge you to worship with greater intention, reverence, and joy. Discover how worship is not just an event but a covenantal dialogue with the God who calls us, purifies us, and sends us. Open these pages and join the invitation to worship "in spirit and truth" (John 4:24), proclaiming, "Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth."
