Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A carnival "House of Trouble" ride sets a hapless Buster on an unplanned journey inside a runaway hot air balloon, hurtling him far from civilization and straight into the wilderness. Stranded with nothing but his own resourcefulness (and considerable bad luck), he crosses paths with a self-sufficient outdoorswoman who needs no rescuing at all - flipping the era's typical rescue story on its head. What unfolds is a string of survival mishaps, river misadventures, and fumbling attempts at courtship, all filtered through Keaton's singular gift for finding disaster in the great outdoors. This volume redraws and recomposes Keaton's 1923 short frame by frame for the comics page, adapting panel proportions, cropping, and framing to suit the rhythm of sequential storytelling. The bold black-and-white linework translates the balloon's chaotic flight, the rapids, and the wilderness setting into a visual language built for the page - giving Keaton's physical comedy new texture while preserving the timing that made it work in the first place."The Balloonatic" is part of an ongoing series independently publishing Keaton's silent films as graphic novels, created out of a lifelong love of his comedy - where bad plans meet worse execution, and the joke is always on the guy convinced he's got it handled. This entry stands out in the series for its outdoor setting and its unusually capable female lead, offering longtime fans a fresh angle and new readers an ideal entry point into Keaton's world.
