Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

What if the only boy you ever truly loved was taken from you by a monster?

Leopold the Lonely Vampire is a queer gothic drama that begins in Gold Rush-era San Francisco, where 17-year-old Leopold Beringer, a gay heir to a wealthy closeted Italian family (Beratelli) fortune, hides his forbidden romance with Li, a Chinese boy escaping racial violence and forced labor. But when a mysterious figure murders Li and turns Leopold into a vampire, his world collapses. Thrust into an immortal life filled with loss, secrecy, and slow-burning sorrow, Leopold searches for meaning and love in a world that keeps moving on without him. Spanning over a century and a half, his story weaves together chosen family, accidental tragedy, hope for reincarnation, and a timeless search for a second chance he's not sure he'll ever get.

Perfect for fans of Interview with the Vampire, The Song of Achilles, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, and even a little bit of Twilight thrown in, this is a lush, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful gothic warm mm romance that spans centuries and defies fate.

Two boys. One bitten. One lost. A love story that refuses to stay buried.
