Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Namuci's Defeat: The Power of Indra's Fury is a captivating retelling of one of the most iconic myths in Hindu mythology. At its heart lies the cosmic battle between the devas (gods) and asuras (demons), focusing on the fierce confrontation between Indra, the king of the gods, and the formidable demon Namuci. Namuci, having received a powerful boon that makes him invincible under specific conditions, threatens to disrupt the balance of the universe. This boon, which renders him impervious to death from anything wet or dry, at day or night, presents an almost insurmountable challenge to Indra and the celestial order.Indra, armed with his divine weapon, the Vajra (thunderbolt), must employ his wisdom, strategy, and divine assistance to overcome the seemingly unbeatable foe. The story explores how Indra's intellect and determination, combined with divine grace, allow him to find a way to honor the boon while still defeating Namuci. The turning point comes when Indra, aided by the cosmic forces, uses the ambrosial foam from the ocean of milk-neither wet nor dry, during twilight-neither day nor night-to strike Namuci down. This myth is not just a thrilling tale of divine warfare, but a profound exploration of the cyclical nature of cosmic balance, the triumph of good over evil, and the importance of wisdom in overcoming obstacles. Namuci's Defeat serves as a timeless reminder that righteousness and intellect can restore order, even in the face of overwhelming adversity.
