Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Winner of the prestigious "Best Book Never Featured on The New York Times Best Sellers List" and "Most Loved Poetry Collection (According to the Author's Mom)", Half Thoughts is a sharp, witty, and unfiltered collection of verse and poems (or what the author calls "phrases") that navigate the absurdities of modern life: screen time spent on pretty strangers, the puppetry of capitalism, and the quiet heartbreak of a world that continues to burn as our thumbs flick up to refresh our feeds.Through humor, vulnerability, and biting social commentary, Half Thoughts captures the absurdity of modern existence-capitalism, sex, identity, and the quiet existential dread that comes with realizing you've spent two hours thinking about a man who you met three years ago. For readers who find themselves questioning everything, this book offers a moment of recognition, a laugh, and maybe even a little catharsis. Half Thoughts reminds us that poetry, like life, is often just a series of unfinished thoughts-half-formed but wholly felt.

In reading Half Thoughts, you will:

- Become a better or worse person, though hopefully the first.- Find meaning in an era where everything feels both urgent and insignificant (or at the least: solace).- Get the opportunity to wonder why the author chose to space the poems in the way they did, which is better than spending time wondering why Jennifer Coolidge was killed off in Season 2 of The White Lotus (a tragedy that will never be justified, but we must move on).
