"Five stars! A captivating story of war, redemption, bravery, and sacrifice. I couldn't put it down."War. Brotherhood. The bravery of a soldier trying to make it home.Despite being a work of fiction, this story is based on the true events of a fearless soldier and his crew.Willard Murphy, a young man from a small town in Minnesota, joins the American military like his father and brothers after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and Germany's declaration of war on the U.S.After being stationed inside the confines of a fragile B-24 bomber, Will's life is turned upside down.Alongside his fellow flight crew members and their captain, they set across the Atlantic Ferry Route to war-torn Europe to support the Allied missions to liberate millions. Their aircraft quickly falls into danger as bullets and flak tear through the plane's hull and engines, eventually crashing in flames onto the Italian coast. As his fellow crew members perish, Will ends up being taken captive by Nazi forces while he recovers from his injuries. Now, Will must find the strength to escape and come home. The Last Flight of the Lady Fifi is a story of redemption from the evils of war while showing the compassion of others in bringing a young soldier back home.A must-read to remember those who served and died for the American way.
