Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Every fifth day, for years, Òṣùmàrè Ẹ̀gọ̀ divined for Ọlọ́fin - for the king, and for the peace of the whole town. It was the only money he had.His wife was the king's own daughter. And one night she began to wonder what her husband was made of when that door was shut. So she asked her father not to consult Ifá the next time he came."Not this week," said the king.He did not argue. He did not plead. He bowed, rolled up his Ifá, and walked home with nothing in his hands - and that same night he opened it again. He had barely begun when someone knocked: a message-bearer from the palace of Olókun, whose daughter was sick to the point of death. Ifá said go.He came home on a horse. And then the king's child fell ill.Bónífá ndáfá. Bó'nífá ò dáfá. Babaláwo tó mọ Ifá á fi Ifá jẹun - whether the client consults or not, the awo who knows Ifá eats by Ifá.A painted graphic novel from Òtúrá Ìrẹtẹ̀, for every Babaláwo who has had the week the king did not send.
