Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

What happens when a Bible-believing Christian pulls out all the stops to sanctify her sexual desire-but still feels attracted to women? That's what Mandy Prescott found herself asking at the end of a marriage, in the middle of an identity crisis, and during a journey through traditional faith that left her emotionally ravaged.Even though she spent five years as an outspoken advocate for her own ex-gay transformation, Mandy felt like something wasn't adding up. Grappling with substance abuse, unhealthy relationships, and her own deeply rooted convictions as a believer, she eventually realized that the gay wasn't going to be prayed away, and that she couldn't change who she was. Thus began the long road toward rebuilding her identity.Mandy may not have all the answers, but she's learned a lot. Through her gripping personal story, one thing is clear: she believes in the right to love, and she believes that gut-level honesty can transform people's lives. Her witty, incisive memoir helps LGBTQ+ individuals peel back complicated layers of questions and get to the heart of things. This book is one woman's no-holds-barred voyage to the depths of her soul and back-and it is a welcome voice for others navigating the complicated waters of sexual identity and faith.
