Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Is there a chance that many, if not most, including the faithful, don't truly understand God? In this fascinating analysis, Dr. Carlson examines a totally different way of looking at God as many of us know him. When it comes to religion-and more specifically, Christianity-"God" is a divisive issue. Either you're a believer who loves him, or an atheist (or other spiritual believer) who denounces his existence and hates him. Who is right? Which side got it correct? Is there even a right answer, or does that become a philosophical question of what "faith" truly is? In Dr. DuWayne A. Carlson's new book Atheistic Christianity, the topic of "God" transcends conventional belief systems as the author encourages readers to cultivate a different view. Through context, a benevolent God can be seen, which avoids distancing us from God and instead, alluring us towards him.Built upon facts and research, Dr. Carlson invites his readers to take another look at him through a different lens and see, through evidence, if he isn't really what he says he is.Atheists, nominal Christians, and readers interested in biblical studies will find Atheistic Christianity's arguments equally compelling and fascinating as the book gently pushes for a deeper look into biblical context. The main takeaway of the book, that there is a different and much more appealing way of seeing God, is echoed throughout the chapters. For readers who enjoyed The God Delusion, Atheistic Christianity is a radically different approach to examining God and what he is like.
