Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"I am going to call this baby Patience, for if she lives she will have plenty of trouble, and perhaps the name will help her bear it better."So Grandma Parlin was born on New Year's Day, 1800, as Patience Lyman. Before she was a loving grandmother to Susy, Prudy, and Alice Parlin, and Grace, Horace, and Katie Clifford, Patience was the youngest daughter of eleven brothers and sisters. The many trials of her youth demanded much of her namesake. This is the story of her little childhood as she told it to Katie "Flyaway"¿Clifford.
