Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Our Lord's invitation to the rich young man in the Gospel, "If you wish to be perfect, sell all... then come follow me," essentially links material renunciation to perfect discipleship. Sister Le examines how Aquinas' embroilment in the mendicant controversy in the 13th century led to his unique exposition and defense of the necessity of evangelical poverty for Christian perfection, a position she demonstrates to be applicable in diverse religious and lay states of life.
