Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Imagine growing up in a blue-collar family, with a dad who played Major League Baseball and a childhood where golf was as foreign as a trip to the moon. Jay Delsing, a natural athlete with an unyielding passion for the game, shares his incredible journey from humble beginnings to a twenty-five-year career on the PGA TOUR in You Wouldn't Believe Me If I Told You.This is not your typical golf memoir. Delsing's unique perspective as a blue-collar kid navigating the white-collar world of professional golf brings a refreshing authenticity to his stories. From locker room banter with Tiger Woods to flying on Air Nicklaus, Delsing pulls back the curtain on life on Tour. But it's not just about golf. Delsing weaves in tales of his days at UCLA with Steve Pate and Corey Pavin, living in a mansion once owned by Lana Turner, and the unforgettable moment Sean Connery introduced him to Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. He even recounts the surreal experience of Stephen Stills on a golf course, offering him cocaine before serenading him with a choice of "Southern Cross" or "Love the One You're With."Filled with humor, heart, and a healthy dose of name-dropping, You Wouldn't Believe Me If I Told You is a must-read for anyone who loves sports, golf, or behind-the-scenes glimpses into the lives of celebrities. Whether you're a lifelong fan of the game or simply appreciate an underdog story, Delsing's memoir will leave you captivated from the first tee to the final green.
