She looks at our Christianity, our God, our socialization patterns, our values, our institutions, and our federal leadership (Congress, the White House, and the judiciary). Finally, Ms. Johnson reviews the social changes within our social structure over the years and reviews some of the factors affecting change, including social mobility, our international relations, and the power of money, for good or bad, impacting our Democratic Republic and whether "we can keep it." The journal is personal and familiar, yet it has very serious implications for who we are as a nation at the macro level of our society. We can't be the beacon of light of the world unless we get it right for all citizens and residents of this great nation!
