In this children's story, Robbie, The Bird Who Was Afraid of Heights, Cheryl E. Wimbush notes that flying is so easy for birds, it would seem they would take to air like a duck to water, but that was not the case with a young bird named Robbie Robin. What is a bird to do if he really doesn't like to even look outside of the nest? Well, his parents are very wise and caring, and together with Robbie they try to widen his world so that he can make some wonderful discoveries. The best of these he makes with the help of a most unusual new friend. Here is a story with an important learning experience.
