Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

For Manny, the son and brother in a family sent from Syria to America as a sleeper cell, his days as a double agent for the CIA were over. The terrorist "brothers" he had trained and fought alongside were now torturing him in a back-alley slum for information he vowed to take to his grave if necessary. A last-minute rescue by a US Navy SEAL team and the decision to transport him to an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf for rehab, healing, and security placed him in daily contact with a young female corpsman who would nurse him back to health. Petty Officer Second Class EJ O'Shea, raised in the Ozark hills of Missouri by her maternal grandparents after her birth mother abandoned her, was determined to excel as a physical therapist and make the Navy her career. Manny--his name and appearance changed--began challenging EJ to read the Bible her gran had given her, the one she hadn't opened in the last three years. Through their study of the Old Testament book of Esther in the months that followed, they uncovered a plot to destroy the nation and people of Israel, along with major cities around the globe, orchestrated by the same jihadist faction Manny had escaped. Come sail with them through seas of looming holocaust, international intrigue, and unexpected romance, and witness how God once again delivers his people from annihilation--just as he did thousands of years ago through Queen Esther.
