Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Structured to balance technical depth with practical insights, this book focuses on innovations in the thermal design of HRSG, thermodynamics, condensate or makeup water pre-heating within HRSG, vacuum deaeration, and off-design operating performance, tailored to diverse process and power plant needs. It offers a practical tool, a specialized nomogram for estimating fuel savings with direct steam use with HRSG or additional power from a steam turbine and FD fan auxiliary power consumption when fresh air firing is provided. It delves into the design challenges and solutions for enhanced heat recovery through innovative inline duct burners for supplementary firing in HRSG. It highlights unique design adaptations required for HRSG across various process industries, such as textiles, steel, oil refineries, and power plants. This book especially focuses on practical applications, troubleshooting, and integrated combined cycle system control, reflecting the author's extensive contributions to India's power and process infrastructure. This book also highlights the author's pioneering work on automatic mode transfer from heat recovery mode to fresh air firing mode. With a strong emphasis on efficient and cost-effective gas turbine and HRSG system engineering, this book is an indispensable resource for seasoned professionals and working engineers. It equips readers with the knowledge and tools needed in diverse industrial environments.
